Professional Experience

As an associate attorney supporting the corporate team of Rimon, Xiaoxiao(Sherry) Liu successfully supports many emerging technology start-ups in all aspects of corporate law matters, including incorporation, debt and capital financing, mergers & acquisitions, securities law compliance, as well as general corporate matters.

Admitted to practice in California, New York and People's Republic of China, and with a solid background of both Chinese law and US law, Ms. Liu can review complicated legal documents in both Chinese and English and provides customized legal advice to clients.

When she was in law school, Ms. Liu founded a social media interview program, "Lawyers' Stories in the U.S.," a series of interviews featuring the stories of lawyers in top law firms all over the US and unveiling the mysteries of career paths of successful attorneys. The program is published on the largest social media site in China, WeChat, attracting over 100,000 readers.

Ms. Liu obtained her bachelor’s degree of law (LLB) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a master’s degree of law (LLM) from the University of California Hastings College of Law. While at UC Hastings College of Law, she served as the research assistant of Professor Frank H. Wu, the ex-chancellor of UC Hastings, and the first Chinese American chancellor, in the research of cases about human rights and democracy in the modern US society.

Since 2016, Ms. Liu serves on the executive team of the Chinese American Lawyer of the Bay Area (CALOBA).
