Jessie Zhou works closely with the Intellectual Property, Commercial Litigation, and Business Transactions groups. She performs a wide variety of duties including conducting legal research and analysis, assisting with discovery, drafting contracts and helping to facilitate client communication. With her Chinese background, Jessie constantly offers support in matters involving international transactions. Jessie also works on trademark procurement and brand protection.
Prior to joining Rimon, Jessie was a proxy research associate on the Japanese market at Glass, Lewis & Co., a leading investment research and global proxy advisory firm. She externed at the Superior Court of California, the Presiding Judge Department during her first year at law school. With her quantitative research and data analysis skills, Jessie worked as a bankruptcy law research assistant and contributed to important bankruptcy research topics during her law school years.
Jessie has been an advocate for Agricultural Technologies (AgTech), a specialized area of technologies aiming at reshaping global agriculture, dramatically increasing the productivity of the agriculture system while reducing the environmental and social costs of current production practices. She was instrumental in bringing the Silicon Valley AgTech Conference to Hangzhou China in 2018.
Jessie is the first law student to serve on the Executive Board of Chinese American Lawyers of the Bay Area (CALOBA).
