Veteran Tax Attorney with outstanding state and local taxation experience will join Rimon.

(New York) August 14, 2013 – Rimon, P.C. welcomes state and local taxation attorney David A. Fruchtman, who will chair the firm's State and Local Taxation practice. Previously, Fruchtman was the Partner in Charge of State and Local Taxation at Winston & Strawn, and Of Counsel to Horwood Marcus & Berk. He has assisted clients on issues in all 50 states, during which he has addressed income taxes, franchise taxes, sales and use taxes, real property transfer taxes, and a variety of other state and local taxes. His planning work includes tax efficient structuring of businesses and transactions, which frequently requires working with tax authorities to obtain favorable letter rulings. Fruchtman also advises foreign companies that are expanding into the United States, and in 2010 assisted an Israeli company in one of Wall Street’s most successful IPOs of the year.

At Rimon, Fruchtman is joining a firm widely recognized as an innovator in the legal field, offering full service teams of highly experienced attorneys with the ability to quickly shift and adapt to client needs. The Financial Times recognized Rimon on its list of most innovative law firms and the American Bar Association Journal named both of the firm’s managing partners as ‘Legal Rebels.' The firm also boasts an international team of top taxation attorneys, including Scott Ross, Mark Feldman, and Ann Jasper. Rimon’s tax team covers corporate taxation, international taxation, trust and estate tax, and now nationwide state and local taxation.

“David is an excellent addition to our tax team,” said Michael Moradzadeh, Rimon’s Managing Partner. “His highly regarded state and local taxation expertise closes the loop for our clients, ensuring that they receive the full spectrum of corporate, litigation, and tax representation.”

Fruchtman shares Moradzadeh’s sentiment. “My desire is to provide the broadest range of services possible to my clients, while working alongside an accomplished group of experienced attorneys, in a vast array of specializations. At Rimon, with its innovative international platform and pioneering legal practices, I am very excited to continue its trajectory of innovation."

Mr. Fruchtman received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1989 and his B.B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin in 1985.
