Rimon’s new offices in Berlin, Sydney, and Dubai featured in Law.com, Above the Law, Bloomberg, Australasian Lawyer, and Law Fuel
Rimon’s new offices in Sydney, Berlin, and Dubai with additions of Andrew Reilly, Dr. Dirk Hamann, and Richard Ernest respectively, were extensively covered by the press. See coverage in Law.com, AbovetheLaw.com, Bloomberg, the Australasian Lawyer, and Law Fuel.
Richard Ernest told Law.com that he was attracted by the flexibility Rimon offered and “the chance to set up and build the evolved law practice in the U.K. and across the Middle East, whilst also supporting the awesome existing partners in Europe expand their own business and geographical reach.”
“To me, it is clear that Rimon gives senior, experienced partners (20-plus years), who are seen by their clients as go-to practitioners, the chance to work freely, flexibly and collaboratively with like-minded souls in order to vastly improve upon the service and fee flexibility demanded by global clients,” he said.
Andrew Reilly told Law.com, that the bureaucracy of large law firms creates ‘internal stresses’ for attorneys in addition to the stresses of meeting clients’ needs. At Rimon, he said, ‘‘I have greater autonomy to run the practice the way I want to run it.’’
Dirk Hamann told Law.com “now that Rimon is on the map in Germany, people are watching closely what is going on. Some of the experienced partners in some other firms are understanding that this is a good opportunity,” he said. Nearly 100% of his clients have come with him or have requested that his former firm make arrangements to keep him involved in their ongoing matters.
Andrew Reilly joined Rimon from Baker McKenzie in Sydney, where he was a partner. Over the past 22 years, he has represented Australian and New Zealand companies on more than 500 offers of debt and equity securities in the United States. He also advises underwriters and placement agents ranging from boutique to ‘‘bulge bracket’’ investment banks.
Andrew’s practice focuses on US securities and corporate law matters. He advises on private placements, Rule 144A transactions and US public offers of debt and equity securities, including Nasdaq listings. He also advises on commercial matters, bank finance, and cross-border M&A transactions. Read more.
