Corporate Attorney and Business Innovator Frank Vargas Joins Rimon, P.C. in Palo Alto

Palo Alto, CA (February 1, 2012) Expanding its team of top attorneys representing emerging growth companies in the tech sector, Rimon, P.C. has added noted corporate attorney and entrepreneur Frank Vargas as a partner in its Palo Alto office.

Mr. Vargas joins Rimon from the firm Gray Plant Mooty Mooty & Bennett, where he served as a principal. He has also worked at a number of other large firms in his career, including Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Mr. Vargas has spent a large portion of his career in Minneapolis and the mid-west and intends to continue practicing in that region.

At Rimon, Mr. Vargas is joining a team of like-minded entrepreneurs. In its five years of existence, Rimon has become widely recognized as an innovator in the legal field, offering a full service of practices based solely on present client needs, with the ability to shift and adapt to challenges quickly. With a career built as a business innovator, Mr. Vargas slots right into the Rimon model. He has created numerous new companies, including Aethlon Capital, an investment banking boutique; a company designed to provide general counsel services to early stage innovators in the medical and computer areas; and Finazz.com, a tech company which automated Mergers and Acquisition process for companies.

Mr. Vargas also serves as a director of Via Biomedical Inc., a medical devices development and manufacturing company and Partners in School Innovation, a nonprofit company designed to transform teaching and learning in the lowest-performing public schools.

As an attorney, Mr. Vargas has worked for more than 25 years representing Venture and Private Equity funds in fund raising and investment activities as well as regulatory matters. In addition to his work with companies, he also represents Broker Dealers with their regulatory issues before FINRA and the SEC.

In addition to his legal work, Mr. Vargas has served on the adjunct faculty of the University of St. Thomas where he taught a course on entrepreneurship, Saint Mary's University where he instructed a Master in International Business course on entrepreneurship, and the University of Minnesota where he co-taught a seminar on entrepreneurship.

Mr. Vargas received his JD and his MBA from University of California, Berkeley and his AB from Harvard University.
