Leading UAE Corporate Finance attorney Richard Ernest Joins Rimon Law in new Dubai office

London/Dubai  -- Leading international law firm Rimon Law welcomes Corporate Finance attorney Richard Ernest as a Partner in its new Dubai office. The office in Dubai will act as the hub for the firm's planned expansion in the region.

Mr. Ernest joins Rimon from Gibson Dunn, where he also worked as a Partner. Mr. Ernest has been cited as a top attorney by numerous ranking agencies, including being featured in Chambers Global 2019 as a leading lawyer for the United Arab Emirates: Banking & Finance; Legal 500 EMEA and IFLR 1000.

Rimon’s Dubai office, along with the opening of two offices this month in Berlin and Sydney, marks the 30th location featuring Rimon attorneys. Last year, the firm expanded into Moscow, Warsaw, Baltimore, and Tucson. The firm won The American Lawyer Magazine’s the Recorder “Alternative Law Firm of the Year” award. Rimon has repeatedly been named by the Financial Times as one of the most innovative law firms.

Mr. Ernest, an English-law qualified solicitor, advises borrowers, investors and lenders on all aspects of finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions and corporate lending.

His more than 20 years of experience include Islamic and conventional leveraged and structured finance, project and ECA-backed finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and restructurings and workouts.

Mr. Ernest previously worked as a Partner at Clifford Chance, where he established that firm’s Abu Dhabi office. He has also worked in London and Frankfurt.

Mr. Ernest earned his Legal Practice Course from the College of Law – Chancery Lane, his C.P.E. from the University of South Wales and a B.A. from the University of Exeter.
