Mr. Terry joins Rimon from Gunderson Dettmer, a Silicon Valley law firm specializing in representing emerging growth companies, where he co-launched the firm’s first international office in Beijing. Previously we was a partner at DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms.
Mr. Terry has extensive experience representing his clients on cross-border investments, market entry, outsourcing, technology transactions, joint ventures and M&A transactions. Mr. Terry’s experience spans a wide range of industry sectors, from mobile Internet, medical devices, digital advertising, and online gaming to clean-tech, semi-conductors, medical devices and education. Mr. Terry’s practice is truly global, having advised on hundreds of venture investments and M&A transactions involving the Americas, Asia and Europe, with a particular expertise in the U.S. and China markets.
In addition to transactional matters, Mr. Terry also advises his clients on corporate formation, employee incentive programs, commercial transactions and technology licensing, as well as corporate governance, securities law compliance, and other general corporate projects. The firm’s international corporate practice group has been a particular source of strength. The firm has attorneys who regularly manage transactions in Canada, Latin America, the U.K., Israel, Russia and Eastern Europe and China. Additionally, Rimon has recently entered into an alliance with UK-based Excello to expand its global corporate presence.
The Financial Times has twice recognized Rimon on its list of most innovative law firms and the firm’s managing partners were both named ‘Legal Rebels’ by the American Bar Association’s ABA Journal and have been speakers at Harvard and Stanford Law Schools on innovations in the practice of law.
“Chris is a true global transactional leader with an entrepreneur’s mind-set. He was entrusted to help launch the China office for a major law firm, has played a key role in building two firm’s emerging growth company practices in Asia, and is routinely engaged to handle the most complex cross-border acquisitions and divestitures. As our firm continues to expand its international corporate presence, we think Chris is a great addition to the team,” said Michael Moradzadeh, CEO of Rimon Law.

“Rimon has established a strong team of international transactional attorneys that matches up well with the best corporate firms out there. I’ve found that Rimon has been ahead of the curve in understanding what my clients in the startup and technology space are looking for. Rimon’s ability to provide high-quality representation with an understanding of the particular legal and business landscapes of the international market is a great benefit for companies looking to close cross-border deals,” said Mr. Terry.
